Terms of service

The terms on which Kundalini.Life provides courses, retreats, corporate programmes and goods.

[DRAFT, PENDING LEGAL REVIEW] This text was written for Kundalini.Life specifically, not adapted from another company. It still needs a lawyer to read it, and every square bracket below needs filling in before the site takes payment.

1. Who we are

This website is operated by Kartik Dhar, a sole proprietor trading as Strategy Sense, with its principal place of business at Flat KCB0051106, Wish Town Klassic, Jaypee Greens Wish Town, Sector 134, Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh 201304, India.

GSTIN 09AYPPD1165Q2ZS, registered as a Regular taxpayer since 10 October 2024. FSSAI Central Licence 12726999000522, valid to 7 July 2027.

Kundalini.Life is a brand operated by that proprietorship. A sole proprietorship is not a separate legal entity from its proprietor.

You can reach us at hello@kundalini.life or on WhatsApp at +91 98109 80878.

2. What these terms cover

They apply when you apply for a course, book a retreat, engage us for a corporate programme, buy something from the shop, or use this website. By doing any of those things you accept them.

3. Our programmes are education, not healthcare

We teach asana, breath and meditation as a curriculum. Nothing we teach or sell is medical treatment, diagnosis or therapy, and we make no claim that any of it treats, prevents or cures any condition.

If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are under treatment, take advice from your doctor before enrolling. Our health screening exists to help us teach you safely. It is not a medical assessment and it is not a substitute for one.

4. Admission

Every programme is by application, and we may decline any application. Places are limited and are confirmed only when we say so in writing and payment has cleared.

You must be at least 18 to enrol, or [16 to 18 with written consent from a parent or guardian: CONFIRM WHETHER YOU WILL ACCEPT MINORS].

5. Fees and payment

Fees are as published on the relevant page at the time you apply. Early bird fees require the application to be received before the stated deadline. Payment is by UPI transfer or by any other method we specify in writing.

We may change published fees at any time. A change does not affect a place already confirmed.

6. Attendance and completion

Certificates of completion are issued at our discretion and depend on attendance and, where the programme includes assessment, on passing it.

For the 200 hour teacher training, Yoga Alliance sets attendance requirements for contact hours. We will tell you what they are before you enrol. Registration with Yoga Alliance as an RYT 200 is a separate application you make yourself, to them, and they charge their own fee. We cannot guarantee the outcome of that application.

7. Changes and cancellation by us

We may change a schedule, a venue, or a member of faculty where we reasonably need to. If we cancel a cohort or a retreat outright, you may choose a refund or a transfer, as set out in our cancellation and refunds policy.

8. Conduct

We may remove anyone from a programme, a class or a retreat for conduct that endangers or seriously disrupts others, without refund. We will explain the reason in writing.

9. Our materials

Manuals, recordings, sequences and written material we give you are for your own study. Do not copy, share, publish or teach from them commercially without our written permission. Classical texts we quote are in the public domain; our translations, selections and commentary are not.

10. Goods

Goods sold in the shop are described as accurately as we can manage. Natural materials such as cork, rubber, hemp and loose leaf tea vary between batches in colour, grain and scent. That variation is not a defect. Returns are covered by our returns policy.

Our teas and coffee are food. They are not supplements, remedies or medicines.

11. Limitation of liability

Physical practice carries inherent risk. You take part at your own risk and you are responsible for working within your own limits and for telling us about anything relevant to your safety.

To the extent Indian law permits, our total liability arising out of any programme, retreat or purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including travel, accommodation or time away from work.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Grievances

Under India's Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 our grievance officer is Kartik Dhar, reachable at hello@kundalini.life and +91 98109 80878. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within one month.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, have exclusive jurisdiction.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published when you applied or ordered. Last updated [DATE].
